About Rick Kelley

 

Rick Kelley is a graduate from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Music Education. He is a former teacher who has taught in both Southern California and Chicago area schools. Rick Kelley's Award Winning, interactive, energetic and EXTREMELYá FUN performances are designed to inspire people to GET INVOLVED!

From ages 2 to 92 his high energy and infectious personality encourage everyone attending one of his performances to have a great time! By employing a variety of tactics, Rick customizes each show by adjusting the types of participation and the message needed for the event. Performing successfully at corporate events, Universities & Colleges, Associations, grade schools, festivals, libraries and fine arts venues across the country, RICK gets people INVOLVED!
 

Rick Kelley's programs have earned a remarkable 8 performance AWARDS including the NACA "Family Program of the Year"! NACA has also acknowledge him as the "Coffeehouse Entertainer of the Year" 4 separate times. Rick has also earned AWARDS by "Campus Activities Today" magazine for "Best Male Performer", "Best Solo Performer", and "Best Small Concert".

Rick has released a total of 7 CD's including 2 well received children's works entitled "Don't Just Sit There" and "What Can! Do For You?" (which was written in cooperation with the Michigan Arts Foundation "Learning To Give" Program).Rick has finished his newest accomplishment, Music A to Z program ( Live show is available) designed to help educate children in music appreciation.

 

 

Rick has played over 3000 concerts nationwide, in addition to over 300 concerts for children. He has opened for well known artists Sinbad, Robert Townsend, and Jake Johannsen.
